Terry Campie the Elementary School Years.

Terry Marshall Campie in elementary school. Terry walked to school through the soybean fields. Terry Campie remembers well one of those days he was sent home from school because President Kennedy had been killed.

Terry Campie’s childhood memories are jumbled. Not because of the assassination of a President Terry’s grandparents adored, but because life for all children is confusing at that age. Having been dropped off Paul and Belva by presumably both his mother and father would confuse anyone. It was told to Terry Campie, that he loved his Grandfather as evidenced by him riding his tricycle miles across the highway to the other side of town just to see him. But Terry Campie admits those were stories told to him as a kid and the truth was uncertain. But they made great urban myths.
